Hi! I'm Cierra Davis, an Computational Modeling & Simulation engineer passionate about rewriting the math narrative and empowering students to excel.

Growing up, I had a passion for math. My idea of fun was going through multiplication flash cards, reciting math facts, and spending hours playing Math Blasters. Do you remember that game?  I thought I was going to be the next Ada Lovelace. No. This generation's Dorothy Vaughn.  In fact, I tested into advanced math classes until 9th grade Geometry. Whenever I asked  my teacher questions, he would get flustered and refuse to call on me. His approach had a negative effect on me, I thought, what was the point? I stopped taking notes, and doing the work. As a result, my geometry grade tanked, and I was placed in remedial math.

My dreams of being in STEM were broken. Or so I thought. 10 years later, I was encouraged to give engineering a try from my high school friend, who happened to be a female engineer. That experience ignited a fire within me—I never want anyone else to feel as defeated as I did. Representation is important; I thought I was incapable until someone encouraged me to take a step on faith and TRY.

Math anxiety is real—it holds so many students back, making them believe they're not cut out for math. But that couldn't be farther from the truth. My goal is to help students fall in love with math by building their confidence and demolishing those self-doubts that linger in the shadows. Some of us just need a fresh approach—a safe haven to ask questions without judgment. Other students crave a more rigorous curriculum to match their advanced skills and ambition.

Now, as a passionate math tutor, I'm on a mission to make math feel like a walk in the park—accessible, engaging, and fun!
